She was head of a commission to evaluate the current situation of child abuse in Germany. (I wish I could translate that better, sorry). Among other things they created ways for victims to talk or write about their experiences and make themselves heard. One take away fact was, that the number of cases that remain in the dark is still very high.So from this point comes the iceberg idea of the drawing, and the pain creates the ocean of tears, so to say.
